Alejandro Alonso Díaz works as a curator, writer, and editor. Since 2017, he has been the artistic director of fluent, a non-profit arts organisation focused on commissioning solo exhibitions and fostering independent study. His practice examines the semiotics of energy as a field in which material and immaterial conditions of life intersect, paying particular attention to aesthetic, linguistic, and performative dimensions. He has conducted research and curated projects for Museo Nacional Centro de Arte Reina Sofía, Madrid (ES); Fundação Calouste Gulbenkian, Lisbon (PRT); Fundació Joan Miró, Barcelona (ES); documenta 15, Kassel (DE); and KADIST Foundation, Paris (FR), among others. His writing moves between theory and poetry and has appeared in e-flux, Frieze, Mousse Magazine, and numerous exhibition catalogues. He has also edited publications with Sternberg Press and Mousse Publishing. In 2026, he will curate the exhibition series 18.12–17.48 at Fundació Joan Miró, Barcelona (ES).
