Evelyn Simons

Freelance curator, writer and co-Artistic Director of Busan Biennale

Evelyn Simons is a Brussels-based curator and writer, and the co-founder of RendezVous – Brussels Art Week. She is currently the co-Artistic Director of the upcoming Busan Biennale and is affiliated with Horst Arts & Music. Her practice explores the intersections of art, nightlife, music, architecture, performance, and fashion, fostering cross-disciplinary collaboration and spaces for artistic experiment. She is particularly interested in hauntology, subcultures, and the parallels between rave culture and protest, examining how collective gatherings become sites of resistance, imagination, and alternative world-building.
