Kathrine Wilson
Nitja Art Center, Lillestrøm
Director
Kathrine Wilson is Director of Nitja Centre for Contemporary Art, Norway, advancing contemporary practices and exploring art’s role in social, pedagogical, and mental health contexts through projects such as Kunstvisitten and Pilotgalleriet. She was previously Managing Director and Curator of Kunsthall Oslo (2012–23), a founding member, and chaired the Association of Norwegian Kunsthalles (2021–23). Her curatorial work employs postcolonial and feminist approaches to reframe institutions and rethink representation politics. Through cross-sector collaborations and innovative exhibition formats, Wilson investigates how contemporary art can challenge dominant epistemologies, highlight situated knowledge, and contribute to a more inclusive and representative art history.
Kathrine Wilson will visit Vienna on a curatorial exchange with OCA Norway in November 2025.
