Mónica Carroquino is the director of Catapulta, a private platform based in Spain (ES), founded in 2025 to support the internationalisation of contemporary artists and curators through a membership-based programme. Previously, she served as deputy director of La Casa Encendida, Madrid (ES), where she led the institution’s transdisciplinary arts programme for more than a decade, commissioning exhibitions and long-term projects with contemporary artists while developing major open calls for emerging Spanish artists and curators. Her work focused on fostering experimental practices across visual arts, music, performance, and independent publishing.

Mónica Carroquino will visit Austria on a curatorial exchange with Catapulta in March 2026.
